well, we are back from Colorado and just in time cause now Colorado and western kansas are now covered in snow and ice. I was supposed to be in garden city this morning for a clinical, but Jon didn't think it was safe, so I had to reschedule.
We had an awesome time and know what we are getting eachother for our 1st anniversary- snow shoes!! we were the only dorks hiking the mountain without snow shoes. I had planned to take my snow boots but they got left by the door. Colorado is so beautiful in the winter, all snow covered!
I really liked the hospital in Sterling, but Jon hated the town. It doesn't really look like the wealthiest town, that's for sure. Size is comparable to emporia or great bend I'd say, but I'm not very good comparisons, so that may not be accurate. Not very many job options for Jon. We went to Greenley and they have a nice looking hospital and a university that is on the National exchange program with Fort hays. but they don't have a radiology program. There is one college on the program with radiology program, but it is in grand junction and thats all the way on the western side of colorado.
I passed my NET on monday in hutchinson so i'm going to apply for their radiology program for a back up option. I don't need anymore courses outside of the radiology courses so I don't know what I will do if I'm not selected for this year. Waste money on classes i don't need or take a year off, but they's rather select people who are currently in school. anyways..
Jon is going to get the kids after work on Friday and then we are going to Jon's grandma's for dinner on Christmas eve and then will head out east to the Thomas home for christmas day after dropping off the kids. can t wait to see you for the holidays and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

WOW! Now that is has been a month or so...I knew that I'd be pretty inconsistant in posting, but I was hoping that it wasn't going to be this bad! Well i need to keep it short, just taking a break from final preparation, let the info sink in...
well, obviously a lot has happened in a month. Jon and I celebrated our 6mo awhile ago and broke out the cake top. I couldn't imagine how delicious it would have been if we waited 6 more months.
Things have been going better with Harley and Haleigh. Last visit I saw a 1/2 a sliver of improvement in Harley's listening skills and it was just the thing I needed to get the right focus. Poor Haleigh has been sick with something different for the thas 3 weekends they've been here. First the stomach flu, then croup, and Kristi called a couple days ago and said that they might not be able to come down this weekend because Haleigh had just gotten mono and was still gonna be contagious for 48 hrs. But I guess Harley didn't get it and it's not supposed to be contagious anymore so Jon's going to pick them up tonight.
Well, I may have saved myself in the Social Psych class that I told you I was probably going to fail. I didn't realize that there was a 100 pt, 5-7 page paper over a movie they watched in class when I had stomach flu. I found this out Monday and my class was 9am tues. The movie, "Key Largo" was not anywhere in Hays except for the library and what would you guess...it was already checked out. I got out of class at 1:30 and had to work from 4-11. Jon had to go to Great Bend, so I called the stores there and blockbuster said they had it. come to find out, its in their computer, but not in the store. But thank goodness, Dillons had it!! regardless to say there was no sleep for me, just a pot or two of coffee and an hour power nap between school and work.
but I got it done and if i get A's on this and final I pass.
harley and haleigh helped us decorate the Christmas tree last time. They have been dying to open presents. We actually got started on shopping fairly early, thank goodness. We actually found several things then we went to the blackfriday sales. The cats sure have liked all the crinkly paper and plastic sacks around. they weren't every helpful in the wrapping process, so their signatures on some. Lycan got caught pretty good this morning. Jon heard paper scratching and when she looked up at him, she had a chunk of paper stuck on the side of her mouth. Busted!
We are going to colorado next weekend to do my clinical + celebrate our 6 mo. When we get back I have entrance exam for radiology program in hutch on monday morning. Then I have a clinical set up in Garden City on the 20th.I plan to go to salina for one sometime, but I need to talk to Jon's aunt Jo, she works radiology there. Karen and I are getting together the 22nd. I've been trying to figure out how to list the sites I'm willing to do my clinicals at. I'm hoping that God will show me things when I visit the CO site. if sent to CO, that would put us 7-71/2 hours away from JOn's kids. I will be working at hospital 40 hr/wk with no pay, so I probably won't be making a whole lot. we won't have the $ for many trips to see them. I hate to have Jon get reinvolved in their lives and then 1 1/2 into it he's gone. That surely isnt good for them. anyways.. we'll probably post some colorado pictures next time. And pray for God's guidance.

Wow! Hard to believe that it's already November! Before you know it, this year will be gone! Well, I've survived another weekend with Jon's kids. They were here this weekend and we took them to church and it went pretty well, but we for got the time change and arrived an hour early, so we went to Mc Donalds and they played in the Play Place. Just keep me in your prayers for adjusting to all the aspects of this change in our married life. Other than that, same ole, same ole. Tests are starting to pour on as we enter the last 5 weeks. Just need to make it 5 more weeks and I'm so ready for a break. Just wanted to shoot some kind of update since it has been awhile, but I need to get a couple of assignments finshed before i hit the pillow. Hope all is well with you!

Hey. Sorry it's been awhile. Well, thank you for all your prayers. This weekend with the kids went well. Everyone had fun and we will be getting them everyother weekend now. I had to work every evening, but had the rest of the day with them. We went to Wal-Mart Saturday morning(not the smartest idea in the world) to let them pick out pumpkins to carve and to get coloring books. Jon was constantly chasing Harley around the store, but Harley discovered that he is not going to get away with doing whatever he wants and is only going to get a spanking for throwing a fit. He also had to learn the hard way to not tease the cats. Lycan got his finger pretty good, but Harley finally listened. Haleigh is pretty quiet and fell in love with Zeva. Zeva's become a pretty good sport when it comes to kids, and Lycan...needs to work on it some more.
well, it's hard to believe that it is already mid term. Grades were posted this week and i've got A's except for Social Psychology. I did poorly on the first test, and that's the only grade in the gradebook til the next test. I don't feel too extremely bad because the class average on the test was a 54, but I'm gonna have to work my tail off to bring it up with only 3 tests left. I'm trying to put together a class schedule for next semester now.
Well, Jon and I are going to a concert with Karen in Dodge this Sunday. It will be fun. They have a lot of awesome concerts! I haven't seen Karen in person since the Oregon trip so it will definately be great to see her again! But, I'm going to have to end this post here so i can get to my bone class. i'll ty to post some concert pictures next time.

Wow! I like the affects of blogging. It really helps connect everyone and even though it's not the same as an actual conversation, it's nice to know what's going on in everyone's life. So here goes an attempt for us to do the same for everyone, although I'm quite sure it may not get updated quite as often as others. Well, things are going pretty well for us. Jon and I went to Mom and Dad's the weekend before last and had a great time, as we got to see Angel, Hannah, Nathan and Grandma 8 too! though it was short, It was great to spend what little time we had together! We also picked up Billy and she is my new ride. She's doing awesome so far.
School is flying by it seems! Its hard to believe that we are into October already! I am enjoying most of my classes, especially my bone densiometry class. It is getting me excited for the program and praying that I get into the program this year, if that be God's will for me.
Jon is doing well. He is still working for Advantage Glass Plus-the best worker there! Has been a little fustrated with some of the other employees work ethic, but picks up the slack.
We have an extra siamese kitten if anyone is looking for a cat. The lady we got Zeva from had one left that the woman who claimed never came back for and she can't keep her, so she called us. Jon's mom thought she had it sold to her boss, but he backed out and so had 3 cats at our house! Jon took the new one to his mom's this weekend. She was a night terror. she'd hide all day and then at night...MEOW MEOW MEOWMEOWMEOW ALLLLLL night. 2 cats is just enough. Lycan and Zeva are buddies right now and I think that 3 would be a bit much, not to mention the extra litter box duties...
Well, some more news, Jon's kids, Harley and Heighley will be staying with us this weekend! Jon is sooo excited and depending on how things go with Kristy, he may be getting them everyother weekend. So you can keep us in your prayers for that. Post more next week hopefully to let you know how the weekend went.
