how long does it take a walker to post a blog?

Wow, I'm pushing close to a year since my last post... I'd like to think I'll get better but more than likely it will still take me awhile to update- at least for another year.

A lot has gone on in the last year so I will do a quick recap and post pics.
I finished my year of x-ray clinicals in Dec 08- since then I have gone on to finish my degree at FHSU and graduated this May. Jon and I moved out of Great Bend and are renting a house 15 miles south of Great Bend in the country. This works out well because it puts Jon closer to the shop and the areas of his work. I have an apartment in Salina where I live Mon-Fri as I am currently still working on my CT preceptorship at the hospital here. Jan-May I was working on that Mon, Wed, Fri in Salina and had class in Hays Tues, Thurs. It was a lot of driving around and I"m glad that its over. In August I will begin the Radiation Therapy program at the Cancer center here in Salina. It will be a year long of clinical and classes but then I will be completely done!! Then I can actually go out and get PAID to work 40 hrs/wk!

I am currently searching for an xray or ct position that will fit into my school schedule. I took and passed my registry for diagnostic radiology last month so am an official registered and licensed tech! Hooray! I plan to take my registry for CT in the fall.

Jon is still working for his dad alongside his brothers, putting up irrigation systems. They are keeping busy busy. Especially now, as summer is there busiest season. Harley turned 8 in January and Haleigh turned 6 in April. She was in girlscouts this year and they had a Father/Daughter dance. They looked so sweet!

Haleigh graduated kindergarten this year and excited to move on to the 1st grade. She seems to really enjoy school. Harley is not as big of a fan of school as she is, but has done much better this year. I was able to come down and watch him at a school program where he played a tiger shark. It was really cute.

My brother Tim and his wife Heidi had a beautiful girl on 08/08/08! Her name is Kairis and she is the cutest thing! I got to go out and see her over Christmas break and it was a great time. She probably thought that her aunts were flashes of light because we were taking so many pictures!
Just a few weekends ago they got to come to
Kansas for a short visit and it was a wonderful time! Always too short, but I enjoyed every moment! We threw suprise birthday party for Tim's 30th b-day and think he had a good time.

Thanksgiving was wonderful cause most of the family was able to come! In a world stopping event- Chris AND Jon were both there in attendance! :) hee hee

In January Jon and I went to try our hand at skiing in Colorado for a late anniversary trip! It was awesome! First day skiing, I fell alot. I wasn't sure if I was cut out for it, but the second day it was awesome! We hung out on the bunny slope, but it was fun! We went hiking around in the snow alot and it was a wonderful time! Can't wait to go again! :)

We still have 3 cats. The youngest of the bunch, Gunner is huge now! He's bigger than the other 2 put together. Jon put him on the scale and he weighs 13 lbs! He's not fat just super long with big ole paws. I imagine he will have a huge head later like mom and dad's cat Sam.

I'm sure there is so much more that i have failed to mention from the last year- but it will have to go in another blog!

Just because it looks like a kiddie trail doesnt mean it's easy...the rainbow is merely telling what color your bum will be the next day...

Oh yeah! This limo is perfect!
