Jon found his dream truck at a good price in Wichita. We got it about 2 weeks ago. It is his new baby. The poor Nissan has been parked in the garage for almost 2 weeks now...
It's a 92 Chevy Silverado 4x4 with a 350. He actually settled on an automatic, so I can drive it too! Yea!

Billy finally got a makeover and looks pretty snazzy I may say! She could use another can to even out the hood, but looks much better! She is still running like a champ! The competition is on for which vehicle gets to go to Colorado!

We hope that everyone is doing alright with all the crazy weather that has been going on! We, here in Victoria haven't seen much of the storms. Got a little bit of rain, but nothing like everywhere else! We are hoping that Mom and Dad's house hasn't flooded, it looks like you may have gotten quite a bit of rain!

Jon put his new truck to work this weekend moving stuff out of his mom's house in Great Bend due to flooding.
Jon traded the Bronco for the little "houseboat" that is in water on the left. So we'll see if we can sell it after water soaked the floor...

We just hope that everyone can recover from the rising waters. Our prayers are with you all as well as the victims of the huge tornado that destroyed Greenburg.
Dispite all the detruction, it has left Jon's dad with lots of work to do. 18 of their customers irrigation systems we're destroyed or are in need of repair, which has created a new job opportunity for Jon. His dad has offered him a job with higher pay and also pays for his gas. This also may open up an opportunity for him to have his own glass shop. He is planning to open up a glass account through the shop with one of the major glass distributors and they will start doing glass in addition to irrigation repair and welding.
This comes at the most opportune time, because we have been racking our brains trying to figure out how we were going to afford me cutting my hours so to make time for studying for my radiology classes and still be able to make ends meet. God has a funny way of working sometimes, but we feel that this is the solution he has laid down for us.
The downside is that we will be apart for 6 months because Jon will move in with his dad until I start my clinicals in Great Bend in January and we can get a place together. But we will try and see each other as much as possible.

I have started a new job as well. I'm working as a CNA for an agency where I travel mainly to the Gove County Med Center in Quinter. They pay for my gas so it's not too bad. I am still working at Caseys until I find out how many hours I can be guarantee with this new job. I am supposed to be getting a call from another agency that operates in Great Bend which would also give me a chance to see Jon and have the trip paid for!
So when we go on our anniversary trip next weekend, it will also be like a last big fling togther before we have to spend 6 mo apart.

Harley will begin playing T-ball this summer and is very excited. It will be interested to see how he'll play because he is left-handed.
